Beauty is in the eye of the Beholder

Beauty also stems from the inside as well; it is not skindeep. The beauty of outter appearance can only go as far as the beauty that lies within.

Beauty is confidence; the ability to smile, the ability to wear anything and feel great, the ability to feel comfortable in one's skin.

Beauty is kind; it is the grandmother that toils in the kitchen baking cookies, it is the teacher that helps a student, it is the one dollar given to a homeless man on the street.

Beauty is everywhere, and is it the eye of the beholder that distinguishes what it is.

  1. I love this post! Although it goes with the "beauty" theme of your blog, it's different than your other [very helpful!] posts. It kind of serves as a reminder that although these great teeth whiteners and lipsticks and eyebrow tips are handy and relatively important, it's also good to remember that "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" and it's more important to stay true to YOUR ideas of beauty than society's.

I like how you incorporated the poem/picture into this post and used it as a jumping off point for your response. Your personification of beauty is awesome; I especially liked how you compared it to common, everyday people whom we all know and respect, like grandmothers and teachers. And then, by tying the whole "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" thing together at the end was the perfect cherry on top. I really like your blog, and this was a great post.
